Optional Pre-Trip: Tangier, Morocco

November 19 - 21, 2027

Tangier is a city of mystery, movement, and effortless cool where Africa meets Europe and the Atlantic collides with the Mediterranean. Long known as an international enclave for artists, writers, and diplomats, Tangier feels worldly, creative, and slightly rebellious in spirit. Its walkable medina, breezy cafés, dramatic coastal views, and storied past give it a relaxed elegance that’s both historic and modern. Unlike Morocco’s more intense imperial cities, Tangier invites you to slow down: lingering over mint tea at Café Hafa, wandering the Kasbah at sunset, and soaking in a cultural blend shaped by centuries of trade, literature, and diplomacy.

What truly sets Tangier apart from Rabat, Casablanca, and Marrakech is its energy and rhythm. Rabat is polished and administrative, Casablanca is fast-paced and business-driven, and Marrakech is bold, sensory, and theatrical. Tangier, by contrast, feels introspective and coastal less about spectacle and more about atmosphere. It offers culture without chaos, history without heaviness, and luxury without excess. For travelers seeking a refined, soulful Moroccan experience with European influence, ocean air, and a creative edge, Tangier stands apart as quietly unforgettable.
